What is Mindfulness and why we should practice?

Rather than worrying about what has happened or might happen, when we are ‘present’ (or Mindful) we deal with whatever is happening. As we become more skilled at managing our state of mind and emotional states, we gain resilience. Then, we are empowered to use our minds effectively instead of our minds running us ragged!

We start to see things as they really are (instead of how we imagine them to be through the filter of our story and habitual patterns), so can respond effectively and appreciate more fully.

"Coming away after 12 weeks of Elina's coaching has changed me inside out. I came into this course not knowing what to expect (never believed in mindfulness back then, plus, my ego almost stopped me from signing up for this course), but am currently living into a much "lighter" version of myself. 12 weeks of digging deep isn't easy, but what awaits at the end is nothing that material wealth can feed or fulfill. "If you had told me 12 months ago that I would be doing daily mediation, weekly yoga and holistic counselling I would have thought you’d got the wrong person. As a busy cynic it’s taken a lot to change my way of thinking and actually prioritise my mental health. After working together through yoga courses, mediation and mindfulness workshops over the last year, when Elina suggested I would see value from some coaching sessions where we can delve deeper I jumped at the opportunity, and I’m so glad I did!

Elina has been such a support in keeping me grounded over the last 12 months, and these sessions add such a personal element of support and guidance. Elina allows the space and time for me to think for myself and rather than just treating the symptoms, and guides our sessions to delve deeper and support emotional aspects that come up along the journey. We’ve now completed six sessions and I have signed up for a further six.

"When I booked my series of Holistic Coaching sessions, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I hadn’t met her in person before (and live in a whole other country) and was curious as to whether we would connect well, let alone have her support and help me through a stagnant patch in my life.
